After an executive session lasting a little over an hour at the meeting on Thursday, Sept. 10, the Fayette County Commissioners Court unanimously appointed Sylvia Mendoza as the interim tax assessor-collector for Fayette County.
On Friday morning, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m., Mendoza was sworn in by County Judge Joe Weber.
