On Friday, Sept. 24, Emergency Management Coordinator Craig Moreau reported that Fayette County’s COVID-19 numbers have rapidly improved for new cases per day and the infection rate was at a record low.
According to data provided by Moreau, new cases per day (per 100,000 population) was the lowest among surrounding counties at 18.6 and Fayette County’s infection rate was at 0.62.
