The ladies at Navidad Valley Community Connections are continuing to make masks for the public.
NVCC has both children’s masks and adult masks. Some have elastic; some have ties.
A selection of masks is available, and NVCC tries to accommodate special requests. For example, NVCC is expecting to obtain some University of Texas material for a special request.
“I also just donated a bunch of children’s patterned material I found,” NVCC’s Nancy Hay said. “But I again want to acknowledge the many people who have donated material, elastic, and even sewing machines for us to use. Thank you all.”
The ladies who sew are Debbie Florus, Kathy Bertsch, Betty Gabler and Sandy Colvin.
Hay coordinates the effort so anyone wanting a mask can call her at 979-561-5092. NVCC asks for a freewill donation to help cover costs and provide some income during its closure.
