Open house set to celebrate new book on Stanzel brothers
BOOK COVER – Defying Gravity – How Victor and Joe Stanzel’s Dream Took Flight traces the lives of the two brilliant local entrepreneurs from their childhoods to the time when their products were so popular that large national retailers like Walmart ordered freight cars full of Stanzel toys.
For decades, Victor Stanzel Co. products, all of which were produced in Schulenburg, were sold all over the U.S., as well as in foreign countries.

The Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum and Stanzel Family Foundation invite the public to a special open house and booksigning event on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum, 311 Baumgarten in Schulenburg.
Complimentary refreshments will be served from noon to 2 p.m., and activities for children will be available throughout the day.
