Rainfall slows in August but still above average

After the last three months averaged well over eight inches of rain, including 12.52 in May, Schulenburg’s precipitation slowed last month.

Local weather observer Elroy Dieringer reported five recordings in August totaling 3.14 inches. That’s still over a halfinch above the average for August – 2.59 inches – since 1926.

Dieringer’s recordings last month were as follows:
