Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek presents a plaque to Betty Shimek in honor of her retirement as the Schulenburg Police Department’s administrative assistant. It states, “This award is given as an expression of our sincere appreciation for your more than 22 years of dedicated and loyal service to the department.” Shimek started with the SPD on Sept. 1, 2000 and her last day was June 1.
