In October, the seasonally-adjusted Texas unemployment rate was 5.4 percent, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from September 2021, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.
Fayette, like two surrounding counties, saw its rate (not seasonally adjusted) stay the same last month. The rates for five counties dropped one-tenth of a percent while one had a 0.1 increase (see accompanying chart).
