Throngs converge on St. John for first ‘full’ picnic in local area

Crowds showed up early and stayed late at the Schulenburg area’s first complete, all-day picnic since the beginning of the pandemic. Over 4,500 lunch plates were served at St. John’s annual Fourth of July event Sunday and the lines for drink tickets and hamburgers remained lengthy into the afternoon and evening.
