Toxic gas leak at Pilot forces evacuations

No serious injuries resulted from a poisonous gas leaking from a tanker trailer at Pilot Monday afternoon, July 11 but it did lead to an evacuation of the immediate area. A truck driver heard escaping gas after he pulled into the truck stop from Interstate 10, according to Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator Craig Moreau.
