Like their first-ever trip to the state tournament in 2015, the Shorthorns met up with the Region III champion this year in last week’s semifinal. Similarly to that game six seasons ago, they faced a fast-paced, pressing team. Also comparable, Schulenburg couldn’t overcome big, early deficits against Dallardsville Big Sandy back then or versus Grapeland on March 9.
