Two deaths added to county list

On Friday, Sept. 18, Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator Craig Moreau reported that two additional deaths were confirmed.

Both occurred in Precinct 1, which includes La Grange and areas to the north and west of La Grange. Over a one-week span, from Sept. 15-22, Precinct 1 also had a jump in confirmed active cases combined with probable cases – from 17 to 28. The Schulenburg area (Precinct 4) went from four to seven.

“We will continue to investigate the remainder of the cases that have been reported on other websites and databases,” Moreau said. “As a reminder, we do not update our death list until we can confirm that the patient’s cause of death was fully or substantially from COVID-19.”
