Vaccines remain readily available throughout Fayette County, according to Emergency Management Coordinator Craig Moreau.
“Our dedicated healthcare workers and community volunteers are to be commended on their continuing commitment to provide rapid and convenient options for Fayette County residents,” Moreau said.
On April 29, Moreau reported that 13,802 doses had been administered to Fayette County residents. A total of 8,433 residents received at least one dose and at least 6,496 residents were fully vaccinated. The majority of vaccines have gone to patients age 65-plus.
The breakdown of vaccinations by age group as of April 29:
• 16-49 – 2,439 doses administered / 1,678 with at least one dose / 1,066 fully vaccinated;
• 50-64 – 3,604 doses administered / 2,279 with at least one dose / 1,714 fully vaccinated;
• 65-79 – 5,759 doses administered / 3,331 with at least one dose / 2,761 fully vaccinated;
• 80+ – 1,994 doses administered / 1,139 with at least dose / 952 fully vaccinated;
• Age unknown – 6 doses administered / 6 with at least one dose / 3 fully vaccinated.
“Our hospitalization and infection rates continue to decline and local resources are managing very well with the current case load,” Moreau said. “Residents are reminded to continue efforts to practice good distancing and hygiene efforts and to check on neighbors and loved ones who may need assistance as long as the infection is prevalent in our community.”

• La Grange Family Health has Moderna vaccines available for their patients. Call 979-968-8493 for information or to be placed on the waiting list if you are an already established patient.
• Tejas Healthcare has Moderna vaccines available. Go to https://tejashealthcare.org/ or call 979-968-2000 to register.
• H-E-B is getting regular shipments of both Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines. They have a walk-in clinic Monday-Friday from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. as supplies last.
