Margie Kubala, 86, was born March 1, 1936 and passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Schulenburg Regency.
She was born to Albert and Martha (Berger) Schramek in Schulenburg. She attended and graduated from Schulenburg High School. Margie was the administrator at Colonial Nursing Home for many years. After leaving the nursing home, she opened her daycare, “Lil Britches N Bows.” After closing her daycare, she enjoyed traveling to different locations to bowl. “Bowling was her love,” her family states. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and artwork. Many afghans were made and given as gifts by her.
Rosary was said on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, followed by memorial services at the church at 10:30 a.m. She was interred in the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery.
Margie is survived by daughter, Beverly Kubala and Terry McFarland of Kyle; son, Michael Kubala and Becky of Schulenburg; and grandchildren, Zackery, Dylan, Kallie and Kassidy Kubala. She is also survived by sister, Linda Wagner of Schulenburg; brother, Joe Schramek and wife Janie of Schulenburg; sister-in-law, Joyce Schramek of Schulenburg; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elroy Schramek; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Wagner.
