Patricia Ann Edwards, age 75, of Fulshear, was surrounded by family as she peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Patricia was born on Jan, 13, 1947 in Houston to Mardell and Elsie Farris. She attended Jefferson Davis High School in Houston and following business college, she was employed as a secretary by Exxon where she met her husband Samuel A. Edwards. Patricia later worked as a paraprofessional for Cypress Fairbanks ISD, where she prided herself in opening new schools. Patricia and Samuel were married Nov. 13, 1971 and had two daughters, Amy Edwards Lanouette of Fulshear and Alicia Anne Searl of Richmond. Family was most important to her as she enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, David Lanouette and Jeremy Searl, and their three grandchildren, Savannah, Audrey and Emma Searl. Pat and Sam recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends creating many beautiful memories. Patricia was a member of St. Faustina Catholic Church in Fulshear. Pat loved to travel, one of her favorite trips being to Switzerland with her husband. Her favorite pastimes, other than spending time with her family, was working on her family’s genealogy and listening to the Beatles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mardell and Elsie Farris, and her brother Patrick Farris of Houston.
She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel in Katy, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Faustina Catholic Church in Fulshear, with Rev.
