Margaret was born in Trinidad, West Indies, Dec. 15, 1933, to the late Louis Morgan and Veronica Rodrigues Berry. She spent most of her adult life in the Houston area. Margaret married James Hightower on Aug. 28, 1966. She worked for many years in the insurance industry as a policy writer, later going to work for “AEC Washateria,” where she served her surrounding community for numerous years. Margaret enjoyed the interaction with her customers and developed many friends. In early 1990, Margaret went to work for St. Anne’s Catholic School, caring for young pre-K children in the after school program. Her long 25-year career there touched the lives of many young kids and her loving nature helped them grow and succeed. Along with her siblings, Margaret enjoyed trying her luck with the Texas Lotto Scratch Off tickets and playing the Pick Three. Margaret dearly loved her children and her grandchildren, and they loved their “Mima.” Margaret loved to laugh and have a good time with family and friends and she will be deeply missed.
