The Fayette County Commissioners Court decided to place a ban on all outdoor burning effective immediately at its meeting on Thursday, June 9.
It was stated that the majority of the county volunteer fire department chiefs were in favor of a burn ban due to the ongoing dry conditions. The order includes a fine not to exceed $500 for violations.
