Two dormant buildings on North Main Street revived
Writing on the rafters includes the date Oct. 31,1914.

If walls could talk, the historic Baumgarten Cotton Gin would, no doubt, have plenty of stories to tell with nearly 150 years at its location in the 700 block of North Main Street.
Soon, it will have the potential for new tales with new owners Troy and Diana Chafin. They bought the building in November of last year from Mayor Elaine Kocian and her children.
