With an increase in property values, the Schulenburg City Council proposed a slightly lower tax rate for the coming fiscal year at its regular meeting Monday,Aug. 16.
CityAdministrator Tami Walker recommended the “voter approval rate” of $0.21113 per $100 of valuation. Anything above that amount would require the City to hold an election on the rate.
