Fair Queen, Jr. Miss, Little Miss/Mr. winners named
Queen's Contes t winners – (from left) Izela Cerda, Dulce Merlos, Teagan Branch, and Addisan Wagner. Wagner, a junior at Flatonia High School, finished as second runner-up and also won Photogenic and Miss Beauty & Poise. She is the daughter of Ben and Misti Wagner, and was sponsored by the Flatonia Lions Club.
Junior Miss winners – (from left) Hailey Janish, Brinley Freedman, Nicole Vahalik, and Delilah Mangis. Vahalik, an eighth grader at Schulenburg ISD, won second runner-up and “Best Friend.” She is the daughter of LaTasha Vahalik and Joe Collins.
The 2022 Fayette County Fair had one of the biggest crowds on opening night, Thursday, Sept. 1 and the highlight was crowning a new Fair Queen, Junior Miss, Little Miss and Little Mister.
This year, season ticket sales totaled $105,390. Total sales from all carnival tickets and season tickets for the 2022 Junior Miss and Queen Contestants amounted to $166,880.60.
