Holman Catholic Church Picnic
The annual picnic of St. Wenceslaus Church will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18 at the parish grounds in Holman on FM 155 between La Grange & Weimar. A drive-thru-only dinner will be served starting at 10:30 a.m. The plates will have fried chicken, sausage, buttered potatoes, sauerkraut, green beans, pickle and dessert, and will cost $12 each.
An online auction will also be held, with bidding from Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. through Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. Items can be viewed and bids placed at www.charityauction.bid/HolmanPicnic.
Weimar Knights of Columbus Chicken Fried Steak Dinner
Weimar Knights of Columbus Council 2153 will serve a chicken fried steak dinner with sides on Sunday, Sept. 25 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Michael Catholic Church Family Center, N. Center Street, Weimar. The drive-thru-only plates will be $12 each and 650 plates will be available.
Schulenburg VFD Auxiliary Hamburger Steak Dinner
The Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will serve a take-home-only hamburger steak dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the KC Hall. The plates ($12 each) will include hamburger steak with gravy, twice-baked potatoes, peas and carrots, corn casserole, roll and cookie. Tickets are available from Holly Czmiskey (979-561-6018), Sandy Kusy (512-994-9181), Grahmann’s True Value, Schulenburg Printing, Tillie’s Cafe, or any SVFD Auxiliary member or SVFD firefighter.
Hallettsville Sacred Heart HSA Apple Strudel Bake
The Hallettsville Sacred Heart HSA will hold its apple strudel bake on Saturday, Oct. 8. Cost is $22 baked and $18 unbaked.

St. James MBC Texas Sausage Plates Weekly Fundraiser
