Ervin Charles Neskora, 96, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022.
Ervin was born in Moravia, TX to Charles Neskora and Julie Neskora. He was baptized at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Moravia, TX and attended school at Moravia, TX. Ervin served his country in WW 2 . He married his wife of 67 years, Bernice (Winkler) Neskora (1932-2019) on April 19, 1952. Ervin has lived his entire life in Moravia, TX. After his marriage to Bernice, they owned and operated a dairy for over 50 years. Ervin and Bernice were active members of Moravia Church and instrumental in the success of the annual Church Picnic.
Along with the dairy, they raised five boys – Ervin Jr. (wife Karen) of Schulenburg, Joseph (wife Debra) of Moulton James “Nick” (wife Janelle) of Moulton, Kenneth (wife Pauline) of Moulton, and Thomas (wife Faith) of Moulton. Together they have 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Services were held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Moravia, TX. Visitation was at 9 a.m., rosary at 9:30 a.m. and funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
