Two-year spell of regional-final setbacks broken
For two straight seasons, the Lady Horns watched Thrall hoist the Class 2ARegion IV championship trophy. After Saturday’s 3-0 sweep of Johnson City at Brenham High School, it was their turn to celebrate.
“We’ve been saying all year, ‘This is our year to go to state,’” Schulenburg senior Mackenzie Kunschick said. “We all got together and played better.”
