Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek would like to remind everyone that help is available for those dealing with the “holiday blues.”
While the idea that suicides occur more frequently during the holiday season is an oft-repeated myth, the holidays can be a stressful time for many people, increasing feelings of grief, loneliness, social anxiety and other issues.
Through a partnership with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office established a crisis intervention program in 2013.
