The Fayette County Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at Carter Motel in La Grange on Friday, Dec. 16 in reference to narcotics being sold from one of the rooms, according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
Upon execution of the search warrant, drugs that were located included 82 grams of ecstasy (approximately 400 pills), 1,616 grams of THC-containing products, 4.75 pounds of marijuana, 4.3 grams of cocaine, halffull bottle of promethazine with codeine, scales, packaging for the narcotics and $6,065.
Corey Powell, 47, of La Grange, was arrested and charged with three counts of manufacturing/ delivering a controlled substance Penalty Group 1 >4G<200G, manufacturing/delivering a controlled substance Penalty Group 1 >1G<4G, manufacturing/delivering a controlled substance Penalty Group 2 >400G and possession of marijuana >4 oz.<5 lbs.
