Vehicle fire extinguished on Highway 71 near West Point

A 911 call reporting a vehicle fire on Highway 71 eastbound near West Point Loop was received by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, May 2 around 1:13 p.m., according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
The La Grange Volunteer Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Deputy Lee Phillips.
Upon arrival, the vehicle was fully engulfed and the occupants were safely out.
