Building a house large enough to contain all HammerBuild camp participants provides a learning experience that involves math, teamwork, using tools, etc. Students are shown using drills during the process at a previous ‘Hammer’ event.
It’s never too early to start talking to children about what they want to be when they grow up. Eventually, they will need to start planning what their path to postsecondary success will involve. Will it be college, as a stepping stone toward a career? Or trade school? Or stepping straight into a career from high school because of credentials earned during this time?
