Zaybryn Barrera of Schulenburg, 12-year-old son of Perla and Shorthorn head baseball coach Isaiah Barrera, competed with his team, Houston Wildcatters, at the Cooperstown (N.Y.) All Star Village recently. He helped the Wildcatters go 8-1 for the week with a batting average of .524 over the nine games to go along with an OPS (on-base percentage plus slugging percentage) of 1.994.
