Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS) announces the opening of its annual Emerging Artists Competition and Exhibition on Saturday, Aug. 5 at the ARTS Ross Gallery, located at 114 N. Live Oak St., Fayetteville.
This competition is dedicated to showcasing the exceptional creativity of students in grades 6-12, providing a platform for young talent across Southeast and South Central Texas to shine. The Emerging Artists Competition invites young artists to submit works in any media, including diverse forms like crochet, painting and clay.
Lisette McClung, a long-time teacher and artist, will evaluate the submissions. Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entrants in each grade level, as well as for the overall “Best in Show” piece.
