As of Sept. 8, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,207 for the year– 580 dogs and 627 cats in need.
As of Sept. 8, the shelter had 127 animals in its care – 70 dogs and 57 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical reasons, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.
