Building on the momentum of a 27-25 win in the first set, the Lady Horns finished off Thorndale in the area round with a 3-0 sweep last Thursday in Giddings.
At 34-12 on the season, Schulenburg was scheduled to face Skidmore-Tynan in a Class 2A Region IV quarterfinal on Nov. 7 with the regional tournament slated for Friday and Saturday at Brenham High School.
