GJAS recognizes outgoing board president

Dr. Rylee Hatfield, DVM, who has served as president of the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter (GJAS) board of directors since 2019, will be stepping down from that role, and the new board president will be Frank Reichert.

Dr. Hatfield joined the GJAS board of directors in 2018 prior to becoming president in 2019.

“With a change in leadership and vision at GJAS in 2020 we hit the ground running and never looked back,” Teresa Brown, GJAS executive director, said. “Together, with our community, we have built a strong volunteer, foster and transport program. We have strengthened our animal care protocols to ensure a healthier pet at adoption than when they entered our care. We have built partnerships with our community and with rescue organizations nationwide.”
