Sr. Connections: gathering place for active seniors

Just like that, January is gone and now it is February. The Groundhog predicted an early spring, after what seems like a really short winter, but summer will not wait for anyone either.

“People are getting ‘bluebonnet itchy’ and are starting seedlings inside as folks prepare to get back to the great outdoors and live,” Cindy Villarreal, Senior Connections executive director, said. “The energy level has gone up, just thinking about being outdoors and communing with nature.”

Speaking of energy levels, there were 41 members in attendance at Senior Connections on the last day of January, compared to 31 members on Jan. 3 when Senior Connections opened after the holidays.
