Fayette County Retired Teachers’ Association
The Fayette County Retired Teachers’ Association will meet on Monday, June 10 at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia. Lunch (self-pay) will be at 11:30 a.m., with officer installation at 1:30 p.m.
Gene Stokes, outgoing District 13 president, and Joe Ramirez, incoming District 13 president, plan to attend.
Fayette County Czech Heritage Society
The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society will host its annual Piknik, with a meeting to follow, on Tuesday, June 11, at 6 p.m. at Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange.
The high school scholarship recipient and Fayette CHS Queen and Little Princess will attend. There will be accordion music, Czech-English bingo, food and a silent auction. Members are asked to please bring a side dish and auction item. Guests and potential new members are welcome – Vítáme Vás!
Swiss Alp/Ammannsville/ Dubina Farm Bureau FAMILY NIGHT
The Swiss Alp/Ammannsville/ Dubina Farm Bureau will hold the yearly family night on Tuesday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at the Swiss Alp/Ammansville/Dubina Farm Bureau Building on Highway 77 just across the road from the historic Swiss Alp Dance Hall. There will be live music by Wesley Pearson.
Members are welcome to invite family and friends. A meal of fried chicken and sides will be catered by Connie Koopmann. Tickets, which must be pre-ordered, are $10 for Farm Bureau members and $12 for non-members. To reserve a meal, RSVP to Pastor Lemae Higgs at 512-9243925 or lemae@cvctx.com.
Vietnam Veterans
Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 870, will meet on Wednesday, June 19 at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall.
Food and refreshments will be provided at the meeting. VVA, AVVA and prospective members are invited to attend.
