The junior varsity Shorthorns started their season with a 16-13 win at Rice Consolidated last Thursday.
Colton Richburg started the scoring for Schulenburg with a 1-yard run. He passed to Caden Herzik for the two-point conversion. Herzik added a 15-yard touchdown run and Victor Mandujano caught a pass from Richburg for the two-point conversion.
