John C. Landa Jr., the “Schulenbirder,” took this photo on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 29, saying that he believes it to be a red-shouldered hawk (but from this angle it is similar to a broad-shouldered hawk). The photo was taken at his property southwest of Schulenburg.
