Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department Stew Supper
The Schulenburg VFD will serve a boneless beef stew supper on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the KC Hall. Cost is $13 each for the drive-thru-only plates. Deadline to buy tickets was Monday, Feb. 3 and only a limited amount of tickets will be sold at the hall.
Relay For Life of Fayette County Bake Sale
Relay For Life of Fayette County will have a bake sale on Saturday, Feb. 8 at City Market beginning at 8 a.m.
Proceeds will go to the Relay For Life of Fayette County, which will be held on Saturday, April 12 in La Grange.
Lions Club Nontraditional Student Scholarship
The Schulenburg Lions Club is offering one or more $2,000 nontraditional student scholarships. The scholarship can be used for secondary education, going back to school, graduate studies, work certifications, technical school, nursing programs, etc. Applicants must live in Schulenburg or work in Schulenburg and live in the surrounding area.
Applications are available by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 979-743-4514 or at the Schulenburg Public Library. Applications must be submitted to the Chamber office by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 25.
