After suffering a 27-point loss to Shiner last week, the Shorthorns bounced back to defeat Flatonia by six.
Schulenburg, at 13-14 on the season and 6-5 in District 28-2A, still had a chance to make the playoffs heading into the regular-season finale. The Horns needed a win in Louise on Feb. 11 along with a Ganado loss in Weimar to claim a spot in the post-season.
