Animal Shelter Volunteer & Foster Meeting
Those who are seeking a meaningful way to spend their time or make a difference are invited to attend an informational session on Saturday, May 10 about volunteering and fostering for Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter.
Everyone is invited to sign up today to contribute positively to both animal welfare and personal fulfillment.
The meeting will take place at 10 a.m. at the USDA Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, opposite the animal shelter.
Fayette County Retired Teachers Association
The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association will meet on Monday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Robert’s Steakhouse, 1241 Highway 95, Flatonia.
TRTA District 13 president Joe Ramirez will be in attendance to install new officers. AMBA representative Christina Heinrich will also be present to meet with members and answer questions. All current and newly retired school district personnel are welcome to attend to enjoy food and fellowship

Hermann Sons Life Lodge 14 will meet on Wednesday, May 14 at Oakridge Restaurant, with refreshments at 5:30 p.m. and dinner and the meeting at 6 p.m.

Fayette County Republican Women
The public is invited to attend the Fayette County Republican Women general meeting on Wednesday, May 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, 575 Country Club Drive in La Grange. Lunch is available for $20.
The program will feature two candidates: Don Huffines, running for Texas State Comptroller, and a surprise candidate who will declare his candidacy at the meeting. FCRW will be the first group to hear his announcement.
