Simmons -Lemons -Ada ms
The Simmons, Lemons and Adams annual family reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Blase’s Hall (361-798-2978) near Hallettsville. Blase’s is located on Highway 90A nine miles east of Shiner and approximately 3½ miles west of Hallettsville.
Any descendants of the Simmons, Lemons or Adams families who reside in Lavaca, Victoria, Harris, Travis, Bexar, Fayette, Dallas, Wharton, Caldwell and other surrounding Texas counties are encouraged to attend.
Attendees are asked to bring desserts (extra for the cake walk), raffle gift, vegetables, themselves and others.
Scholarship winners will be announced. The theme for 2025 is “God is in Control” based on Psalm 24:8-10. The contest is “Meaning of our African American Colors.”

Mica-Mares
The annual Mica-Mares reunion will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3 at the Flatonia Civic Center from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Those attending are asked to please bring a covered dish to share for the meal and to donate an item for the silent auction.
SHS Class of 1965
The Schulenburg High School class of 1965 will have its 60year class reunion on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oakridge Smokehouse Restaurant in Schulenburg.
