The Fayette County Fair Commercial Heifer Show & Sale took place Aug. 22-23.
A total of 74 Fayette County 4-H and FFA members competed in Herdsman Quiz, Recordbook/ Interview and Salesmanship. In addition, 131 head of high-quality bred heifers sold for a total of $788,700 (about $6,000 per head average), both records for this event.
