April at Artful Fridays reflects the season of spring as Sheryl Tumis teaches a floral design workshop. Her students created these lovely wreaths just in time for Easter. After a fire drill, Rusti Beckmann (standing with arms outstretched) addresses Senior Connections members. Safety is a big concern for members, and they responded quickly, quietly and calmly as they exited the building in record time! Beckmann has a vast background in fire safety and was a strong leader.
For over 10 years, Senior Connections has been a beloved gathering place for active seniors, branching into Weimar and Flatonia two years ago, to expand its engagement with people 55 and up, since transportation is a big challenge for some seniors.
