YOUNG FARMERS
The Schulenburg Young Farmers will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 28 at 7 p.m. at the Schulenburg Expo Center.
Program chairman will be L.A. Muehr. Guest speakers will be Donald Muehr and Mark Hermis. The topic will be making homemade molasses.
Quilt Guild
The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild will welcome Michelle Watts from New Braunfels to the Tuesday, July 28 meeting at 10 a.m. at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl St., Room A East, La Grange.
Watts will present a trunk show and lecture, “My Wearable Art Collections.” She has been quilting and designing for over 38 years. With a grandmother who quilted and a mother who made all of her clothes through high school then quilted, quilting runs in her blood. From Odessa, Texas to Roswell, New Mexico, Watts’ pieced, applique and embroidery quilts are inspired by the beauty of the Southwest.
