Simmons, Lemons and Adams
The Simmons, Lemons and Adams annual family reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Blase’s Hall (361-772-4329) near Hallettsville. Blase’s is located on Highway 90A nine miles east of Shiner and approximately 3½ miles west of Hallettsville. Any descendants of the Sim mons, Lemons or Adams families who reside in Lavaca, Victoria, Harris, Travis, Bexar, Fayette, Dallas, Wharton, Caldwell and other surrounding Texas counties. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert, gift for drawing (extras for the prize walk), vegetables, themselves and others. The contest will be “It’s Shoe Time!” Members will be judged and four winners will receive monetary gifts. Scholarship winners will be announced during the family reunion.
