James G. Schmalz of Missouri City passed away there on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020.
The funeral was held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg on Monday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Tim Kosler officiating. Interment took place in the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation began at the church at 9 a.m., with the parish rosary recited at 9:30 a.m.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1938. On Oct. 7, 1967, he married his wife, Mary Ann, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Schmalz of Missouri City; two sisters, Elaine Aleman and husband Rudy of Missouri City and Carol Ann Horst of Arizona; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
