Traffic stop on I-10 near Engle results in seizure of $1.7 million in cocaine

The 17 kilos of cocaine, shown stacked at left, were concealed in an aftermarket compartment built into the dash of the pickup (right photo).
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office Narcotics K-9 Unit seized 17 kilos of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 10 near the Engle exit on Wednesday, May 12, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.
