Four departments called to put out string of fires along FM 609 Monday

Smoke billows from a series of grass fires along FM 609 this past Monday, July 12 around midday. Flatonia Fire & Rescue responded and called for mutual aid from the volunteer fire departments in Schulenburg, La Grange, and Muldoon.
