Edwin Erwin Knesek, 84, passed away at his home in Schulenburg on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery.
Born at Moravia on Aug. 27, 1936, he was the son of Emil and Christina (Schramek) Knesek. He attended Sacred Heart School in Hallettsville and St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Schulenburg until the eighth grade. He was a rancher, and a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and KJT.
Survivors include two nieces, Barbara Haas of Hallettsville and Gayle Kocich of Hallettsville; two great-nieces, Lisa Meyer and husband Jeremy of Richmond, and Angela Kocich of El Lago; a great-nephew, Christopher Kocich of Hallettsville; and a great-great-nephew, Owen Meyer.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Emil and Christina Knesek; a brother, Emil E. Knesek Jr.; and a sister, Evelyn Haas.
Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
