Increases to water, sewer rates OK’d by aldermen

The City of Schulenburg’s base charges for water and sewer will increase by $1 starting Oct. 1 after action by the City Council last week.

The price hike reflected the aldermen’s discussion during their budget workshop about the need to increase the rates, according to City Administrator Tami Walker.
