The filing period for anyone interested in running for a position on the Schulenburg City Council or Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees begins this week.
The first day that applications for candidacy in both elections could be picked up was slated for Wednesday, Jan. 19. The final day to apply for a spot on the ballots is Friday, Feb. 18.
