Bedrich George “Benny” Klekar Jr. of Seguin passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Shiner to Bedrich Sr. and Ludmilla (Randuch) Klekar.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryan Douglas Klekar; and in-laws, Mansvet and Rosie (Billeck) Vana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Marie Klekar; son, Robert Klekar and wife Heather; daughter, Robbin Koehler and husband Dean; grandchildren, Bryan Graham Klekar, Harrison Graham Klekar, Douglas Alden Klekar, Matthew Benjamin Koehler and Abigail Rose Koehler; sister-inlaw, Doris Volek; nieces, Jeanette Johnston and husband Ron, and Brenda Kurtz; several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin. Funeral service was set for Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel in Seguin, with Rev. Tim Sternberger officiating. Burial will take place Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Flatonia, with Pastor Emmanuel Carpenter officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Klekar, Harrison Klekar, Douglas Klekar, Robert Klekar, Abigail Koehler, Matthew Koehler and Robbin Koehler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Koehler and Heather Klekar.
